Your information
Privacy notice
This notice explains how SOS Tyre uses information when you check coverage or ask us to coordinate emergency tyre help.
Who is responsible
SOS Tyre is the trading name used for this service and is responsible for the information described here. SOS Tyre is not currently a registered limited company.
Email: hello@sostyre.co.uk
Telephone: 07440 924 833
This website accepts preliminary enquiries only and does not take payment or complete a booking. The contracting party and a correspondence address will be confirmed before any payment is requested.
Information used to coordinate a response
When you use the emergency request builder, SOS Tyre may process your optional registration, tyre details, postcode or current coordinates, and information about the tyre problem. The optional registration is kept in the current page session and is included in the prepared WhatsApp message only when you deliberately open that message. When you call or message, SOS Tyre may also need your name, phone number, photos you choose to send and information about the roadside situation. Payment providers may process deposit information; SOS Tyre should not ask you to send full card details in an ordinary message.
Location and route services
If you enter a postcode, it may be sent to Postcodes.io for validation and coordinates. Postcode coordinates or coordinates you choose to share may then be sent to the configured route provider to calculate an indicative road journey time.
The site keeps the details entered into the request builder in the current page session only and does not create a customer account or customer database. Hosting, postcode and route providers may create limited technical records under their own terms and security policies.
WhatsApp handoff
The site prepares a readable WhatsApp message from the details you enter. The message is intentionally transferred to WhatsApp only after you press the WhatsApp button. Opening WhatsApp does not mean the request has been sent; you must review it and press Send inside WhatsApp.
Why the information is used
The information is used to respond to your enquiry, check fitter and tyre availability, explain a price, coordinate an independent fitter, provide progress updates, handle payment records and deal with questions or disputes. Depending on the stage of your request, this is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract, to perform a contract, to meet legal duties, or for the legitimate interests of operating and protecting the service.
Who may receive information
Relevant job details may be shared with the independent fitter being asked to attend and with suppliers used for communications, payments, hosting, postcode lookup, route estimation, accounting, hosting or consented analytics. WhatsApp and some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom under their own privacy terms and transfer safeguards.
Retention and your rights
Unsaved request-builder details are cleared when the page session ends. Messages and service records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the enquiry, coordinate the service, maintain accounting records, handle complaints or claims, and meet legal obligations. Records are deleted or anonymised when they are no longer required for those purposes.
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability or object to certain use. Contact hello@sostyre.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. Legal exceptions may apply.
Security and changes
Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect the service. No internet service is completely risk-free. This notice may be updated when the business structure, suppliers or processing activities change.
